Job Overview

We are looking for a Chemist to join a leading beverage manufacturing company in the UAE. The role will be responsible for monitoring product quality and ensuring that all products meet established quality, food safety, regulatory, and company standards.

The successful candidate will conduct laboratory testing and analysis, maintain accurate quality records, support quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with applicable quality management and food safety systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical, physical, microbiological, and quality testing of beverages and related materials.
  
• Monitor and ensure products meet defined quality, food safety, legal, and company requirements.
  
• Perform accurate laboratory testing and maintain proper documentation and records.
  
• Monitor critical quality parameters including Brix, carbonation/GV, net content, taste, appearance, date coding, closure functionality, and microbiological parameters.
  
• Monitor process capability and quality performance to ensure consistent production standards.
  
• Conduct testing using laboratory and quality control equipment, including relevant analytical and packaging testing instruments.
  
• Ensure effective segregation and isolation of non-conforming products.
  
• Investigate quality deviations and non-conformities and support Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  
• Prepare and implement Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) within agreed timelines.
  
• Support internal quality audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  
• Maintain and support QMS, FSMS, HACCP, EMS, and OHSAS/ISO-related systems and requirements.
  
• Ensure compliance with GMP, hygiene, food safety, laboratory safety, and environmental requirements.
  
• Handle chemicals and laboratory materials safely in accordance with approved procedures.
  
• Maintain laboratory equipment, work areas, and testing facilities in a clean and safe condition.
  
• Ensure prevention of contamination of products, ingredients, packaging materials, and equipment.
  
• Report any condition or deviation that may affect product quality, food safety, GMP compliance, or consumer satisfaction.
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to product quality, laboratory operations, and manufacturing processes.

• Ensure 100% adherence to applicable quality, food safety, GMP, HSE, and company requirements.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in beverage, bottled water, dairy, fruit juice, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing environments.
  
• Candidates with 3–5 years of experience as a Chemist in a Coca-Cola or similar multinational beverage manufacturing plant will be preferred.
  
• Hands-on experience in laboratory testing and quality control.
  
• Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality management systems, and laboratory safety.
  
• Experience in handling laboratory equipment and conducting quality analysis.
  
• Knowledge of quality documentation, non-conformance management, RCA, and CAPA.
  
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
