Chief Accountant

Chief accountant should possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills. Should have at least 4/5 years' experience, along with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Accreditations such as CA/CMA also are preferred. Roles and responsibilities of a Chief accountant

• Reconciling subledger to general ledger account balances
• Prepare Bank Reconciliation and Intercompany reconciliation
• Preparing financial statements
• Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses
• Preparation of Job Cost Analysis, account the revenue based on that.
• Should have working knowledge of IFRS
• Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules
• Supervising accounting staff
• Produce errorfree accounting reports and present their results
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
• Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
• Provide input into department's goal setting process
• Prepare the Cashflow/Fundflow statement.
• Independently deals with bank and banking transaction.
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
• Assist with VAT audits and VAT returns
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Prepare every monthly MIS and various management reports
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Proven experience as Accounts Manager.
• Thorough knowledge of IFRS accounting principle.
• Indepth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with general ledger functions and the monthend/yearend close process
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Bachlor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
• Relevant certification (e.g. CA/CMA will be preferred

• Construction industry: 5 years (required)
• Accounting: 4 years (required)
