inclusion, by offering affordable, convenient, and transparent financial
services to the unbanked and underbanked.

The Role

We are looking for a smart, ambitious,
and purpose-driven Chief Compliance Officer to join myZoi, based in Dubai. You will be
responsible for establishing and maintaining robust governance and compliance
culture, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations, and CFCC policies and procedures.

Our ideal candidate would be
responsible for managing the efficient and effective
governance of CFCC risk.

Responsibilities

Focus on driving CFCC considerations across
all business activities and
initiatives within myZoi covering a wide range of areas/topics
including (but not limited to): retail banking, corporate banking,
strategic investment, data strategy, and digital assets.   

Risk
Management and Governance  

• Responsible for supporting the awareness and adoption
  of an appropriate governance model appropriate
  across myZoi’s regulated entities, considering senior
  management responsibilities, entity structuring, and expansion planning.  
  
• Responsible for the oversight of
  the execution of the various myZoi CFCC frameworks which are designed
  to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies,
  procedures. 
  
• Challenge
  and maintain the right balance between risk prudence and pace of
  innovation set by the new competitor landscape.  
  
• Anticipate horizon
  risks in the area of CFCC that may have a significant impact and
  develop effective strategies to mitigate such horizon risks. 
  
• Managing the CFCC relationship with SCV
  and the Board through the Executive Risk Committee, Board
  Meetings and  adhoc SCV engagement to
  consider CFCC risk across (but not limited to) regulatory
  matters, conduct, compliance, FCC, and data. 
  
• Responsible for leading the CFCC
  team and driving the strategic adoption of the CFCC
  and supporting the Data Protection Officer in implementing the data
  management and privacy framework for myZoi.  
  
• Responsible
  for supporting the responsible MLRO in the delivery
  of the myZoi financial crime risk framework,
  which covers Anti-Money Laundering,
  Countering Terrorist Financing, Compliance with financial Sanctions;
  and Anti-Bribery and Corruption.  
  

Regulatory
relationships and regulatory change 

• Responsible for regulatory
  relationships in myZoi, including regulatory inspections management,
  and identification of regulatory reform initiatives with significant impact on
  the country. 
  
• Execute and implement functional best practices around
  regulatory inspections, audits and assurance exercises.
  
• Ensure proactive engagement in regulatory reform,
  including ensuring identification and escalation of regulatory reform
  proposals, participation in local internal regulatory relationship and reform
  forums and memberships of local external industry forum. 
  

Business  

• Analyse comprehensive impact
  of CFCC matters on the relevant business areas and their operations. 
  
• Support relevant stakeholders to
  make decisions based on current and possible future policies,
  practices, and trends. 
  
• Ensure appropriate
  advice is provided to the relevant stakeholders on the interpretation and
  application of regulatory expectations, laws, best practices and
  policies related to CFCC. 
  
• Provide support and challenge
  to myZoi’s senior management to ensure that
  they establish and monitor appropriate processes for
  compliance with CFCC policies and standards (including meeting regulatory
  obligations and maintaining high standards of conduct).

• Lead
  through example and build the appropriate culture and values
  by setting the appropriate tone and expectations from CFCC team
  and work in collaboration with risk and control partners. 
  
• Ensure the provision of ongoing
  training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical
  functions are competent, suitably skilled and qualified for their roles
  ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks. 
  
• Set and monitor job
  descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback
  and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities
  and objectives. 
  
• Assess competency and
  skill of the team on an ongoing basis and ensure teams are adequately resourced
  and capacitised. 
  

About You

• Display

• Willing to take personal

• Possess a
  strong understanding of the financial services sector, demonstrating sound
  judgment on business practices within a digital environment, regulatory
  frameworks, and CFCC risk management.
  
• Exhibit strong
  organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, capable of
  identifying, challenging, and resolving risks and issues.
  
• Bring over 13
  years of hands-on experience in financial crime, compliance, and regulatory
  risk management to the table.
  
• Enjoy a collaborative
  working style across stakeholders to identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve
  risk, conduct, and compliance matters.
  
• Thrive in a
  creative, fast-paced, agile environment, with a clear, concise, and persuasive
  writing and presentation skills, coupled with enthusiasm to execute and get
  things done.
  
• Bring an
  imaginative and creative approach to work, coupled with curiosity about new
  technologies, workflows, and products.
  
• Ability to see
  things from multiple perspectives and continuously ask "why," with a
  good business acumen and understanding of industry trends, directions, and
  regulatory considerations.
  
• Understand
  effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques, adept at transmitting,
  receiving, and accurately interpreting ideas, information, and needs across
