Chief Legal Officer

A leading diversified holding group is seeking an accomplished Chief Legal Officer to lead its legal, governance, and corporate risk agenda across a broad portfolio of businesses, investments, and strategic ventures.

This is a high-impact executive role, partnering closely with the Board, Chairman, and Group CEO to provide legal leadership across corporate strategy, investment activity, financing, governance, restructuring, and commercial operations. The position requires a commercially minded legal leader capable of supporting complex business transformation, protecting enterprise value, and enabling long-term expansion across regional and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Group’s senior legal advisor to the Board and executive leadership on strategic, commercial, and governance matters
  


• Lead legal oversight of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate structuring, and strategic investments across multiple jurisdictions
  


• Manage complex financing and banking-related legal matters, including large-scale funding structures, lender negotiations, and contractual protections
  


• Build and strengthen governance, compliance, and enterprise legal risk frameworks across the holding company and its subsidiaries
  


• Oversee legal support for diverse operating businesses, including commercial contracts, supplier partnerships, licensing, distribution models, and strategic agreements
  


• Direct legal strategy on disputes, arbitration, litigation, and sensitive regulatory matters while managing external counsel effectively
  


• Lead all legal aspects of workforce restructuring, organizational redesign, labour compliance, and cost optimization initiatives
  


• Ensure the Group’s legal infrastructure supports business growth, international structuring, shareholder interests, and operational resilience
  

Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of progressive legal leadership experience within major corporations, diversified groups, or top-tier law firms
  


• Strong expertise across corporate law, M&A, banking, finance, governance, restructuring, and complex commercial transactions
  


• Proven track record operating across multi-jurisdictional legal environments, including sophisticated regional and international frameworks
  


• Experienced in advising Boards and senior stakeholders on high-value, business-critical decisions
  


• Qualified legal professional from a recognized jurisdiction; advanced legal qualifications preferred
