Project: Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) - Hull Division

Experience: 15+ Years

Salary: AED 20,000 - 25,000 per month

Team Size to Lead: 12-15 Engineers

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a visionary CTO / Technical Head - Hull Division to lead the complete design, development, fabrication and sea trials of hull systems for our next-generation Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) in Abu Dhabi. You will be the technical owner of the entire hull platform - from naval architecture to structural integration.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has built marine hulls / USV / autonomous marine systems end-to-end.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Technical Leadership & Hull Architecture:

- Own end-to-end technical roadmap for Hull Division - Hull Design, Hydrodynamics, Structural Engineering, Composite Fabrication, Integration & Testing

- Define hull architecture, materials, make vs buy decisions, and manufacturing processes

- Final authority on all hull engineering decisions

2. Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary Hull Division team:

Naval Architects - Hull Division

Mechanical / Structural Engineers - Hull Design

Design Engineers - Hull Division

Marine Electrical & Power Engineers - Hull Integration

Comms & GCS Engineers - Hull Antenna Integration

Systems & Marine Test Engineers - Hull Testing

- Build hiring plan, interview and grow the hull team

3. Product Development:

- Oversee hull lines design, hydrodynamics, stability, seakeeping analysis

- Drive structural design, composite engineering (Fiberglass/Carbon Fiber), waterproof systems

- Guide hull integration with powertrain, electrical, propulsion and autonomy systems

- Ensure watertight integrity, IP67/68 and marine-grade compliance

4. Testing & Delivery:

- Own hull fabrication oversight, integration, bench testing, dockside setup and open-water sea trials

- Ensure hull safety, reliability, buoyancy, stability and performance

- Deliver sea-worthy hull platform on time and budget

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

- 15+ years in Marine / Naval Architecture / Hull Design / USV / Boat Building / Defense Marine

- Proven experience leading hull development from concept to sea trials

- Strong knowledge across: Naval Architecture, Hull Design, Hydrodynamics, Composite Materials, Marine Systems, Fabrication

- Experience with tools: Maxsurf, Star-CCM+, Rhino, Orca3D, SOLIDWORKS/NX

- Masters / Bachelors in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field

PREFERRED:

- Experience with USV / High-speed boats / Patrol boats / Naval defense projects in GCC

- Experience managing fabrication vendors and client / government stakeholders
