Clinical Pathologist

Westaffed is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Clinical Pathologist to join esteemed healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the diagnosis of diseases through the examination of clinical specimens, including blood, tissue, and other bodily fluids. You will work closely with clinicians to provide timely and accurate interpretations of laboratory results that are essential for patient care. Your role will also encompass overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining quality control measures. Responsibilities

• Perform microscopic analyses of tissue specimens and interpret laboratory test results to assist in diagnosis.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to advise on appropriate laboratory testing and aid in clinical decision-making.
• Ensure laboratory compliance with regulations, maintaining high standards of quality control and laboratory practices.
• Participate in laboratory management, including overseeing staff, training, and workflow processes.
• Engage in continuing education and research to remain knowledgeable about advancements in clinical pathology.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory protocols and policies to enhance patient care.
• Provide educational opportunities for medical trainees and staff regarding laboratory medicine.

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Pathology.
• Valid medical license to practice in the state.
• Board certification in Clinical Pathology preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical pathology environment.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interactions with clinical teams.
