Combat Gear Technician

As a Combat Gear Technician at Xstrike, the individual plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of the state-of-the-art combat gear and equipment. They are responsible for inspecting, repairing, and calibrating laser tag equipment to guarantee optimal performance and enhance the overall player experience. This position demands a combination of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance

• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on laser tag guns, vests, and related gear to ensure they are in excellent working condition.
• Calibrate laser tag equipment regularly to maintain accuracy and consistency during gameplay sessions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with combat gear, including electronics, sensors, and software, to identify and resolve problems promptly.
• Evaluate the overall performance of the equipment in simulated gameplay scenarios to confirm that it meets our stringent performance standards.
• Document the results of quality checks, including any issues identified and actions taken to address them. Maintain detailed records of equipment inspections and performance assessments to track repair history and ensure accountability.

Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, batteries, and other supplies necessary for equipment maintenance and repair. Coordinate with the operations team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
• Regularly monitor inventory levels of spare parts, batteries, and other consumables used in equipment maintenance and repair. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and usage to ensure adequate stock availability.
• Track the usage of spare parts, batteries, and other inventory items to identify consumption patterns and forecast future inventory needs. Generate reports and analysis to support inventory planning and procurement decisions.

Customer Support

• Offer technical support and guidance to players before, during, and after laser tag sessions. Assist players with understanding how to use the equipment properly and answer any questions they may have about gameplay mechanics.
• Address any equipment-related issues or malfunctions promptly during gameplay. Respond quickly to players who experience problems with their gear, such as gun misfires, sensor issues, or battery failures. Diagnose the issue and provide solutions to minimize disruptions to the gameplay experience.
• Interact with players in a friendly, approachable manner, fostering a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
• Actively seek feedback from players about their experience, including any suggestions for improvements or enhancements.
• Promote safety awareness among players by emphasizing the importance of following safety rules and guidelines during gameplay. Educate players on proper laser tag etiquette and encourage responsible behavior to prevent accidents and injuries.

Operations Support

• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that all laser tag equipment is properly set up, calibrated, and ready for use before the gameplay.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to gameplay schedules, minimizing downtime and ensuring that equipment remains in optimal condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant experience preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic devices and systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience in equipment maintenance, electronics, or a related field is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
