Commercial Barrister Dubai

A well-established law firm in Dubai is expanding its Advocacy unit and is looking for a qualified Barrister to join its growing disputes practice.

This is a genuine advocacy-focused opportunity, offering the chance to build on your experience in a dynamic Gulf legal market and take on substantive contentious work — rather than moving into a role focused primarily on drafting.

Responsibilities

• Handling a broad range of commercial disputes and contentious matters
• Advising and representing clients on complex commercial and financial disputes
• Developing and presenting advocacy strategies across a range of matters
• Working on cases involving areas such as banking, insolvency and general commercial disputes
• Preparing for and participating in hearings and other advocacy-related proceedings
• Working closely with the wider disputes and legal teams on high-value and complex matters
• Developing strong client relationships and providing commercially focused legal advice

1. UK- or Australian-qualified Barrister
2. 2+ years' Call / PQE
3. Strong commercial disputes experience
4. Experience in one or more of the following areas:
     • Banking & Finance disputes
     • Insolvency
     • Commercial litigation
     • General commercial disputes
5. Strong advocacy and oral communication skills
6. Excellent legal research, analytical, and written skills
7. Commercially minded with the ability to advise clients effectively
8. Candidates currently based in the UK or Australia will be considered

What’s On Offer
• Circa AED 38,000 – AED 41,000 per month at 2 years' PQE (Tax-free salary)
• Relocation support from the UK or Australia
