Job Description - Commis Chef - Pastry

To assist in the preparation& service of food, prepare mis-en-place for the outlets asrequired.
Adhere to Anantara food preparationand presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinaryofferings to our guests. Continually look to recommend improvementsand additions to the Anantara presentationguidelines.
To keep all working areas clean andtidy to maintain hygienicsurroundings.
Maintain food safety &protection. All food in working areas should be in compliance withfood handling techniques, including dating, proper storage,rotation, etc. Maintain basic food safety and sanitationpractices.
Taking responsibility for lookingafter all hotel property andfacilities.
Participating in departmentaltraining to improve departmental skills and hotel servicelevels.
Maintaining and oversee adherence todepartmental checklists and cleaningschedules
Assisting at events, banquets andother functions as required
Adhering to allpersonal hygiene and grooming standards, fire safety rules andhealth & safety rules.
