ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are hiring a Communication & Ground Control Engineer - Hull Division to build and manage long-range communication links, antenna integration on hull, and operator control systems for autonomous USVs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Design and integrate long-range RF communication links for USV with hull integration

- Design antenna mounting, placement and RF integration on hull for optimal LOS and coverage

- Setup and manage 4G/5G/SATCOM connectivity for USV operations

- Develop and maintain operator Ground Control Station (GCS) software

- Ensure reliable, low-latency telemetry and video link in marine environment

- Handle waterproof RF enclosures, IP-rated systems and cable routing inside hull

- Perform field testing of comms systems during dockside and sea trials

- Coordinate with hull design and electrical teams for integration

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Experience with Marine telemetry systems: Silvus, Microhard, Ubiquiti

- Strong knowledge of network setup, antenna integration and RF planning

- Experience with QGroundControl or custom web-based GCS development

- Understanding of marine RF challenges and ruggedized communication design

REQUIREMENTS:

- 5+ years in RF / Telemetry / Communication Systems / GCS / Hull Integration

- Experience with UAV / USV / Robotics GCS and hull-mounted communication systems preferred

- Degree in Electronics / Communication / RF Engineering or related field
