Black Pearl is recruiting on behalf of a well-established healthcare provider in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Provide minimally invasive, image-guided vascular and non-vascular procedures for neonates, infants, children and adolescents. The successful physician will combine excellent clinical judgment with compassionate communication, multidisciplinary teamwork and a strong commitment to quality and patient safety.
· Review referrals and perform pediatric vascular and non-vascular interventions within approved privileges.
· Adapt procedural planning, equipment, radiation dose, sedation and peri-procedural care to pediatric age and size.
· Manage vascular access, biopsies, drainages, embolization and other interventions according to competence and service scope.
· Collaborate with pediatric surgery, oncology, intensive care, anesthesia, radiology and specialist nursing teams.
· Lead radiation safety, outcomes monitoring, complication review, on-call support and service development.
· Provide safe, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered consultant care in accordance with professional standards, hospital policies and approved clinical privileges.
· Supervise junior medical staff, support multidisciplinary decision-making and promote effective communication with patients and families.
· Participate in clinical governance, incident review, quality improvement, credentialing, continuing professional development and departmental education.
· Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with infection prevention, medication safety, privacy and regulatory requirements.
· Medical degree, recognized Diagnostic Radiology specialty qualification, Interventional Radiology training, and formal Pediatric Interventional Radiology fellowship or strong verified pediatric IR practice.
· The exact specialty and subspecialty award must be recognized under the current UAE Professional Qualification Requirements and support the requested Consultant title.
· Completion of internship and active, unrestricted professional registration/licensure in the current or most recent country of practice.
· Tier 1 qualification and DOH Consultant-level experience, with recent pediatric procedures across appropriate age groups.
· Candidates must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Department of Health â Abu Dhabi Consultant licence for the applicable base specialty/title.
· Applicants must demonstrate recent clinical activity, competence within the advertised scope and no unresolved licensing, credentialing or professional-standing concerns.
· For Tier 1 vacancies, the exact Tier 1 award is mandatory. As a general screening guide, the Consultant route normally requires at least two years after the main specialty award or one year after a recognized subspecialty award, subject to DOH assessment.
· Current BLS, ACLS and PALS.
· Age-banded pediatric vascular/non-vascular procedure log with outcomes and complications.
· Radiation-protection and pediatric sedation competencies.
· Excellent diagnostic, procedural and clinical decision-making skills appropriate to Consultant practice.
· Strong communication and counseling skills with patients, families and multicultural clinical teams.
· Ability to supervise, teach and support physicians and other healthcare professionals.
· Commitment to evidence-based practice, ethical conduct, clinical governance and continuous improvement.
· Ability to work effectively in an acute healthcare environment and participate in on-call services where required.
· Updated, detailed CV showing month/year dates, hospital, country, job title, specialty scope and any career gaps.
· Valid passport copy and recent professional photograph.
· Primary medical degree, internship certificate, main specialty board/certificate and relevant subspecialty fellowship/board.
· Current and previous medical licences/registrations and a recent Good Standing Certificate.
· Employer experience certificates confirming exact dates, title, specialty and full-time clinical service.
· Current BLS/ACLS/PALS and other role-specific certificates, as applicable.
· Procedure/case logbook and current privilege list for surgical, procedural or technology-dependent roles.
· Existing DataFlow/PSV report or UIN and DOH eligibility/licence, if already available.
· Contact details for two or three recent clinical referees, preferably a Department Chair, Medical Director or direct Consultant supervisor.
