Job Overview:

As a Consultant Anesthesia & Pain Management, you will play a vital role in the successful management and treatment of patients experiencing acute or chronic pain in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia and pain management services to patients, working closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each individual's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-operative evaluations, including risk assessments, to determine the most appropriate anesthesia and pain management plan for patients.

• Administer anesthesia and pain control medications during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.

• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed to maintain optimal pain control.

• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive pain management plans for patients.

• Evaluate and manage post-operative pain, making necessary adjustments to medication dosages and treatment plans.

• Educate patients and their families about pain relief techniques and the importance of adhering to treatment plans.

• Keep accurate and detailed records of patients' anesthesia and pain management treatment, progress, and outcomes.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in anesthesia and pain management, incorporating new techniques and medications into practice as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited medical school.

• Specialization in Anesthesia and Pain Management from a reputable institution.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Consultant Anesthesia & Pain Management role.

• Valid medical license to practice in Saudi Arabia.

• Candidates must possess UK CCT, American Board, Canadian Board, or an equivalent certification.

• Excellent understanding of pain physiology, pharmacology, and advanced pain management techniques.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

• Proficient in using electronic medical records and other relevant medical software.
