Position Overview:

In this role, you will serve as a key member of our laboratory and be responsible for overseeing the Biochemical Molecular Genetics section. You will be responsible for conducting biochemical molecular genetics tests and providing diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on test results. Additionally, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the section while also collaborating with other departments to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the Biochemical Molecular Genetics section, ensuring that high-quality services are delivered in a timely manner.

• Conduct biochemical molecular genetics tests, analyze and interpret results, and provide diagnostic and treatment recommendations.

• Keep abreast of advancements in the field and incorporate new technologies and techniques into the lab's testing protocols.

• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality control measures in the section.

• Oversee the maintenance and calibration of all lab equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues.

• Collaborate with other departments, such as Genetics and Pediatrics, to provide comprehensive care to patients.

• Develop and implement protocols and procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy of testing processes.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.

• Saudi Board/Certification in Biochemical Molecular Genetics or American Board Certification in Molecular Genetics.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital setting.

• Familiarity with advanced techniques and technologies in Biochemical Molecular Genetics.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Proven track record of managing and developing a team.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Western education/training required.
