Consultant Breast Radiologist (Female) - Dubai

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Female Consultant Breast Radiologist to join our specialist healthcare team in Dubai.

The successful candidate will have advanced expertise in breast imaging and breast disease diagnosis, with strong experience in mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, image-guided breast procedures, and multidisciplinary breast care.

The role involves providing high-quality diagnostic radiology services, supporting early detection and accurate diagnosis of breast pathology, and collaborating closely with breast surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and other clinical specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret screening and diagnostic mammography, including digital mammography and tomosynthesis where available.
• Conduct and report breast ultrasound examinations, including targeted and diagnostic ultrasound.
• Interpret breast MRI examinations and provide comprehensive diagnostic reports.
• Evaluate benign and malignant breast conditions and provide appropriate recommendations for further investigation or management.
• Perform image-guided breast procedures, including:
  • Ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy
  • Fine-needle aspiration where appropriate
  • Stereotactic breast biopsy
  • MRI-guided breast biopsy, where credentialed
  • Ultrasound-guided localization procedures
  • Other breast interventions within the physician's scope of practice
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast meetings/tumor boards and contribute radiological expertise to patient management.
• Communicate imaging findings and recommendations effectively with referring physicians and patients when appropriate.
• Maintain high standards of diagnostic accuracy, patient safety, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
• Participate in quality assurance, peer review, audit, and continuous improvement activities within the radiology department.
• Support the development and implementation of breast imaging protocols and clinical pathways.
• Mentor and provide clinical guidance to junior radiologists and radiology staff where required.
• Keep up to date with current developments, guidelines, technologies, and evidence-based practices in breast imaging.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and reporting.

Essential Qualifications

• MBBS / MBChB or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Recognized Specialty qualification in Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology.
• Additional fellowship, subspecialty training, or recognized qualification in Breast Imaging/Breast Radiology is highly preferred.
• Appropriate post-specialization experience at Consultant level in breast imaging.
• Strong clinical experience in mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided breast procedures.
• Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary breast care.
• Valid DHA eligibility/license or eligibility to obtain a DHA license is required for practice in Dubai. DHA registration confirms eligibility for the relevant professional title, while the hiring facility must activate the registration into a license before practice can begin.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant post-specialty experience is preferred.
• Strong recent experience in breast imaging and breast intervention.
• Experience working in a high-volume hospital, diagnostic imaging center, breast center, or comprehensive healthcare facility is preferred.
• Experience participating in breast multidisciplinary team meetings is highly desirable.

DHA / Licensing Requirements

Candidates must meet the applicable Dubai Health Authority (DHA) / UAE Unified Healthcare Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR) for the relevant Consultant title.

DHA's current requirements include verification of qualifications and professional experience, and applicants may be required to complete the applicable assessment and primary-source verification process.
