Consultant Dermatologist (Female) - Abu Dhabi

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Female Consultant Dermatologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive dermatological assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for patients with medical, surgical, cosmetic, and aesthetic dermatological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level diagnosis and management of a broad range of dermatological conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive dermatological examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage conditions including:
  • Acne and acne scarring
  • Eczema and dermatitis
  • Psoriasis
  • Rosacea
  • Pigmentation disorders
  • Hair and scalp disorders
  • Nail disorders
  • Skin infections
  • Autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases
  • Skin cancers and suspicious skin lesions
• Perform appropriate dermatological procedures, including:
  • Skin biopsies
  • Cryotherapy
  • Electrocautery
  • Minor dermatological surgery
  • Intralesional treatments
  • Chemical peels and other procedures within the physician's scope of practice
• Provide aesthetic dermatology services where appropriately trained, including injectables, laser treatments, and other non-surgical cosmetic procedures.
• Evaluate and manage hair loss and scalp disorders.
• Assess suspicious lesions and coordinate appropriate biopsy, pathology, surgical, or oncology referral.
• Provide comprehensive counselling regarding treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Collaborate with other medical and surgical specialties when required.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing medical education.
• Support the training and mentoring of junior doctors and clinical staff.

Required Qualifications

• MBBS, MBChB, MD, or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Dermatology / Dermatovenereology.
• Recognized Board Certification or equivalent specialist qualification.
• Valid UAE professional license or eligibility for licensing in Abu Dhabi.

Experience

• Significant post-specialty experience at Consultant level in Dermatology.
• Strong experience managing a broad spectrum of medical dermatology conditions.
• Experience in dermatological procedures is essential.
• Aesthetic dermatology experience is an advantage.
• Experience in a hospital, multispecialty medical centre, or specialist dermatology clinic is preferred.
