Consultant General Surgeon

We are looking for an exceptional Consultant General Surgeon to join our skilled surgical team. This role offers the opportunity to play a critical part in providing high-quality surgical care and improving patient lives. As a Consultant General Surgeon, you will perform a variety of surgical procedures, manage surgical patients, and work closely with a dedicated healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients for surgical needs through thorough assessments and diagnostic tests
• Perform general surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and open surgeries
• Provide holistic care by managing pre-operative and post-operative patient care
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
• Educate and inform patients and families about surgical procedures and care post-surgery
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate documentation and medical records in accordance with regulatory guidelines
• Stay informed of advances in surgical techniques and participate in continuous professional development

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree from an accredited medical institution
• Completion of a General Surgery residency program
• Board certification in General Surgery
• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a consultant role
• Demonstrated proficiency in a wide variety of general surgical procedures
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient care
• Able to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage
