The Role:

As a Consultant General Surgeon (Trauma Surgeon), you will be responsible for treating patients with traumatic injuries, ranging from minor cuts and bruises to complex fractures and life-threatening injuries. You will work closely with our team of medical professionals to provide quality care and treatment to patients in need of immediate surgical intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conducting thorough patient evaluations, including review of medical history and physical examination to determine the appropriate course of treatment

- Performing surgeries on patients with varying degrees of trauma, including but not limited to, minor and major injuries, complex fractures, and internal organ damage

- Managing pre and post-operative care, including prescribing medication, wound care, and follow-up appointments

- Collaborating with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other specialists to ensure the best outcome for each patient

- Participating in continuous education and professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest advancements in the field of Trauma Surgery

Qualifications:

- Medical degree from an accredited institution

- Board certification in General Surgery and Subspecialty in Trauma Surgery

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant General Surgeon with focus on Trauma Surgery

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

- Valid license to practice medicine in Abu Dhabi

- Western education/training required.
