Consultant Hematology Transfusion Medicine - Saudi Arabia

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Hematology Transfusion Medicine to join our client's team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expertise and guidance in the field of hematology and transfusion medicine, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough and accurate patient evaluations, including review of medical history, diagnostic tests, and physical exams

- Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend appropriate treatment plans for patients

- Provide consultations and recommendations to other healthcare professionals regarding hematology and transfusion medicine cases

- Perform and interpret bone marrow biopsies and other specialized procedures

- Monitor and manage patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation

- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and develop treatment strategies

- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of hematology and transfusion medicine, including participating in relevant conferences and training programs

- Manage and develop treatment protocols and guidelines related to hematology and transfusion medicine

- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results for transfusion medicine tests

- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient care and submit necessary reports as required

- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff and trainees in hematology and transfusion medicine

Requirements:

- Medical degree from an accredited institution

- Board certification in Hematology and Transfusion Medicine

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

- Experience in a hospital setting, preferably in the Middle East

- Strong knowledge of current practices and advancements in the field of hematology and transfusion medicine

- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal

- Registered or eligible for registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
