Consultant in Biochemical & Molecular Genetics Saudi Arabia

Position Overview  
This role focuses on the diagnosis, research, and management of genetic and metabolic disorders using advanced biochemical and molecular techniques. The ideal candidate will have expertise in genetic testing, enzymology, and metabolic disease evaluation to provide accurate diagnostic insights and treatment recommendations.  

Key Responsibilities  
- Perform specialized diagnostic testing for inherited metabolic and genetic conditions  
- Analyze enzyme deficiencies, DNA mutations, and molecular markers to provide accurate clinical insights  
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including geneticists, endocrinologists, and pediatricians  
- Ensure compliance with laboratory standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols  
- Participate in clinical research and contribute to innovations in medical genetics  
- Guide and mentor junior staff, fostering professional development in genetic diagnostics  

Qualifications  
- Medical degree from an accredited western institution, specializing in biochemical and molecular genetics  
- Board certification in clinical genetics or equivalent from a recognized body (American Board of Medical Genetics, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, etc.)  
- Five or more years of experience in a hospital or research setting  
- Advanced expertise in metabolic disorders, genetic testing, and laboratory diagnostics  
- Strong communication and analytical skills to interpret complex genetic data  
- Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus but not required
