Consultant in Public Health & Epidemiology Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

We are currently seeking an experienced Consultant in Public Health & Epidemiology with western training or education to join a prestigious medical institution in Riyadh.  

Position Overview  
This role focuses on the prevention, surveillance, and management of public health challenges, ensuring the development of effective strategies to improve population health. The ideal candidate will have expertise in epidemiological research, disease prevention programs, and health policy implementation.  

Key Responsibilities  
- Design and implement public health strategies aimed at disease prevention and population health improvement  
- Conduct epidemiological studies, analyzing trends and patterns in disease outbreaks and health risks  
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, government agencies, and research institutions to develop evidence-based health policies  
- Oversee health surveillance programs, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting for disease prevention measures  
- Advise on healthcare resource allocation and intervention planning based on epidemiological findings  
- Participate in health education initiatives, promoting awareness of public health risks and preventive measures  

Qualifications  
- Medical degree from an accredited western institution, specializing in public health or epidemiology  
- Board certification or postgraduate qualification in public health, epidemiology, or preventive medicine from a recognized body  
- Five or more years of experience in a hospital, research, or public health agency setting  
- Strong expertise in disease surveillance, health policy development, and epidemiological research  
- Proven ability to communicate complex health data to multidisciplinary teams and policymakers  
- Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is beneficial but not required
