Consultant Medical oncologist - Dubai

Role Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Consultant Medical Oncologist to join a prestigious hospital in Dubai. The ideal candidate will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of adult oncology patients, with a strong commitment to evidence-based care and patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of cancers using chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
• Lead multidisciplinary tumor board discussions and collaborate with surgical and radiation oncology teams
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress throughout the care continuum
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and prognosis
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and CME activities
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations and institutional protocols
• Contribute to the development of oncology services and mentorship of junior staff

Qualifications & Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency and fellowship in Medical Oncology
• Board-certified (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialty experience, including consultant-level practice
• Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure (Dubai Health Authority)
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage

Preferred Attributes

• Subspecialty interest in breast, GI, or thoracic oncology
• Strong communication and patient counseling skills
• Experience in clinical trials or academic oncology
• Familiarity with EMR systems and international oncology guidelines
