Consultant Plastic Surgeon (Burns) - Abu Dhabi

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Consultant Plastic Surgeon with a specialization in burn management and reconstructive surgery. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in acute burn care, post-burn reconstruction, and multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert care in the management of acute and chronic burn injuries.
• Perform complex reconstructive procedures including skin grafts, flap surgeries, and scar revisions.
• Lead and coordinate burn care protocols in collaboration with ICU, dermatology, and rehabilitation teams.
• Participate in trauma and emergency response for burn cases.
• Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior surgeons and participate in academic teaching and training programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with DOH and hospital standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree with specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
• Fellowship or board certification in Burns or Reconstructive Surgery (e.g., EBOPRAS, FRCS, American Board).
• Minimum 10 years of post-specialization experience, with a strong focus on burn care.
• Valid DOH license or eligibility to practice in Abu Dhabi.
• Proven leadership in multidisciplinary settings and burn units.
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience in pediatric and adult burn care.
• Research background or publications in burn management.
• Familiarity with digital health systems and telemedicine.
