Consultant Psychiatrist (Arabic Speaker) Saudi Arabia

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who is fluent in Arabic to join a leading healthcare organization in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with a broad range of mental health disorders while ensuring compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.

The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support mental wellness across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, PTSD, and other mental health conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide pharmacological treatment, psychotherapy, counseling, and behavioral interventions where appropriate.
• Manage both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric cases.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care when required.
• Collaborate with psychologists, neurologists, primary care physicians, social workers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive mental healthcare.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with Saudi healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing medical education programs.
• Ensure patient confidentiality, ethical standards, and adherence to mental health best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by SCFHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties).
• Board Certification / Fellowship in Psychiatry.
• Valid SCFHS Consultant Registration/License or eligibility.
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in Psychiatry within a reputed hospital or mental health center.
• Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
• Strong expertise in adult psychiatry and mental health management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in community psychiatry and multidisciplinary mental health programs.
• Exposure to psychotherapy and behavioral therapy approaches.
• Academic and research experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
