Role Overview

As a Consultant / Specialist Psychiatrist in Dubai, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive psychiatric care across outpatient and inpatient settings, managing a wide spectrum of mental health conditions while working alongside a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations, risk assessments, and diagnostic evaluations
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of psychiatric conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy approaches
• Provide crisis intervention and acute psychiatric care when required
• Collaborate with psychologists, counselors, social workers, and other medical specialists for integrated patient care
• Monitor treatment progress, adjust medications, and ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain detailed and compliant clinical documentation in line with DHA and international standards
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive strategies
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, and continuous professional development initiatives
• Contribute to service development, mental health awareness, and community outreach programs

Eligibility & Board Recognition:

• American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
• UK CCT / GMC Specialist Register
• European Board Certification
• Canadian / Australian Fellowship
• Arab Board / FCPS / MD Psychiatry
• Minimum 3–5+ years post-board experience preferred
• DHA License eligibility or active license is an advantage
