Consultant Retina Surgeon (Arabic Speaker) - Dubai

Job Overview:

As a Consultant retina Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and performing advanced surgical procedures for patients with retinal diseases and conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals to diagnose and treat complex retinal problems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings.

• Perform complex retinal surgeries including vitrectomies, retinal detachments, macular holes, diabetic retinopathy, and other related procedures.

• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients and communicate them effectively to the patient and their family.

• Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care as needed.

• Work collaboratively with other medical professionals, including ophthalmologists, optometrists, and nurses, in a team-based environment.

• Attend and actively participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and other educational activities.

• Manage and maintain accurate patient records and comply with all data protection policies.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and research in retinal surgery.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.

• Board certification in ophthalmology and subspecialty fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery.

• Active and valid medical license in the United Arab Emirates.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a consultant retina surgeon.

• Excellent clinical skills with a strong understanding of retinal diseases and conditions.

• Ability to perform complex surgeries with precision and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

• Fluent in English and Arabic.

• Western education/training required.
