Job Description - Consultant Sports Medicine with DOH
Description
Talentspoc is looking for a Consultant in Sports Medicine to provide expert medical consultation and care to athletes and active individuals. This role involves collaboration with the Department of Health (DOH) and other healthcare providers to ensure high standards of sports medicine services. The Consultant will be responsible for advising on injury prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation strategies, promoting optimal athletic performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert consultation in sports medicine cases, including complex injury assessments and management.
Collaborate with the Department of Health and healthcare teams to develop and implement sports health programs.
Develop policies and guidelines for injury prevention and rehabilitation in sports settings.
Oversee clinical treatments and rehabilitation plans for athletes.
Conduct seminars and training sessions to educate healthcare professionals and athletes on sports medicine best practices.
Participate in research and community outreach initiatives related to sports health and wellness.
Maintain accurate documentation and reports for all consultations and programs.
Requirements
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
Completion of residency and/or fellowship in Sports Medicine.
Board certification or equivalent qualification in Sports Medicine.
Experience working with or within the Department of Health is highly desirable.
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in sports medicine or related fields.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Demonstrated ability to develop policies and implement programs.
Commitment to advancing sports medicine through education, research, and community involvement.
