Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as complete blood counts and bone marrow examinations, to determine the nature of hematological disorders.
• Diagnose and manage various blood disorders, including anemia, leukemia, and coagulation abnormalities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment protocols while considering the latest evidence-based practices.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment strategies as required for optimal health outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about hematological conditions, treatment plans, and available resources.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including oncologists, nurses, and social workers, to provide integrated and patient-centered care.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional education to stay current with advances in hematology.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree and board certification in hematology.
• Proven experience in diagnosing and treating hematological disorders, preferably in a government or public health setting.
• In-depth knowledge of current hematology treatment protocols and regulations governing government facilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on detail-oriented patient care.
