Crane Operator

• Be responsible for the entireloading/discharging operations to the assigned vessel and theoperations are carried out safely.
• Responsiblefor safety during the operations and carrying out briefing/ toolboxtalk prior and after completion ofoperations.
• Co-ordinating and liaising with thevessel and the loading supervisor for smoothoperations.
• Ensure the crane is checked andtested prior operations, any defect are immediatelyreported.
• Ensure that the safety parameters ofthe crane are never exceeded.
• Ensure all gearsused for cargo operations are in good condition and damaged onesare replaced.
• Ensure compliance with companyand port HSE and operation regulations.
• Ensurethat the routine maintenance of the crane is done regularly as perschedule.
• Ensure that prior operations, daily,weekly, monthly, yearly routines of the crane are carried out asper schedule.
• Ensure that the crane andoperator's license are kept valid at all thetimes.
• Ensure that the crane always hasadequate fuel prior operations.
• Ensure thecrane documents, keys etc. are maintained is a secure and safemanner and be responsible for same.
• Hook on thecrane only once it is assured that it is absolutely safe to doso.
• Any other duty as directed by the portsupervisor or the operations manager.
  

MinimumQualifications

• Minimum 2-year experience in mobilecrane operations
• Minimum 1 year experience inloading/discharging on ships in port .
• Able tounderstand basic English to give clear and concise verbal and/orwritten instruction.
• Holding UAE craneoperator's License .
• Rigging andlifting certificate .
