Data Centre Solutions Engineer

What you’ll do:

• Design and specify electrical systems, including Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) switchgear, busways, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), and white space equipment.

• Prepare detailed and competitive tender documents, including technical specifications, material submittals, cost estimates, and project timelines.

• Lead the design efforts on behalf of Eaton supporting the technical consultants, contractors, and end users with design specs, offering optimized solution ensuring all designs meet industry standards and client requirements.

• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure that the build phase adheres to design specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.

• Develop and advocate for the use of modular and prefabricated components to enhance efficiency, reduce construction time, and improve scalability.

• Ensure seamless integration of modular and prefab solutions with existing infrastructure and systems.

• Prepare detailed and competitive tender documents, including technical specifications, material submittals, cost estimates, and project timelines.

• Lead the testing and commissioning phases to verify that all systems are functioning as intended and meet project specifications.

• Provide ongoing support to clients post-installation, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.

• Work closely with local and regional teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to ensure cohesive project execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required

• Min 6 years of experience in electrical industry preferably in Data Center solutions with focus on Power Distribution components (LV & MV Switchgears)

Skills:

• Design Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus, enhancing the ability to create detailed and accurate design plans.

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as IEC/ IEEE/UL

• Innovative Thinking: Ability to develop and implement innovative solutions for data center projects.

• Leadership: Proven leadership skills with a result-oriented mindset.

• Cultural Sensitivity: Experience working in diverse, multicultural environments.

• Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with local and regional teams, including architects, engineers, and project managers, to ensure cohesive project execution.
