Data Entry Operator

Responsibilities

• Insert customer and account data byinputting text based and numerical information from sourcedocuments within time limits
• Compile, verifyaccuracy and sort information according to priorities to preparesource data for computer entry
• Review data fordeficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities if possibleand check the output
• Research and obtainfurther information for incompletedocuments
• Apply data program techniques andprocedures
• Generate reports, store completedwork in designated locations and perform backupoperations
• Scan documents and print files, whenneeded
• Keep informationconfidential
• Respond to queries for informationand access relevant files
• Comply with dataintegrity and security policies
• Ensure properuse of office equipment and address any malfunctions
  

Requirements

• Proven data entry work experience, asa Data entry operator or Officeclerk
• Experience with MS Office and dataprograms
• Familiarity with administrativeduties
• Experienced using office equipment, likefax machine and scanner
• Typing speed andaccuracy
• Excellent knowledge of correctspelling, grammar and punctuation
• Attention todetail
• Confidentiality
• Organizationskills, with an ability to stay focused on assignedtasks
• High school diploma; additional computertraining or certification will be anasset
