Job Description - Data Recovery Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Recovery Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4–6 years of hands-on experience in recovering data from various storage media and file systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep technical knowledge of data recovery tools and techniques, and the ability to work under pressure to retrieve critical data for clients or internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced data recovery from hard drives (HDD/SSD), USB drives, memory cards, and other storage devices.

• Diagnose and resolve logical and physical data loss scenarios.

• Use specialized tools and software for data extraction, imaging, and repair.

• Maintain clean room protocols for physical recovery tasks.

• Document recovery procedures, findings, and outcomes in detail.

• Collaborate with IT security and infrastructure teams to ensure data integrity and compliance.

• Provide technical support and consultation to clients or internal stakeholders regarding data loss incidents.

• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data recovery and digital forensics.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in professional data recovery

• Experience in data recovery tools and technology.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
