We are seeking an experienced Director - Business Development to lead strategic growth initiatives, capture high-value opportunities, and strengthen relationships with key defence stakeholders. This role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, shaping customer requirements, developing winning strategies, and expanding the organisation's presence across local and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with organisational growth objectives.


• Identify, qualify, and capture major defence and security opportunities.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with armed forces, government entities, procurement agencies, and industry partners.


• Lead bid and capture activities, including opportunity assessment, competitive positioning, pricing strategies, and value proposition development.


• Drive strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and collaboration initiatives to expand market reach.


• Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and provide accurate revenue forecasts and business updates.


• Collaborate with technical, commercial, and program teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Defence Studies, Business, or a related field.


• Master's degree or MBA preferred.


• 15+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Program Management, or Product Management within the defence sector.


• Proven track record of securing and managing large, complex defence opportunities.


• Strong understanding of defence procurement, contracting, customer engagement, and market dynamics.


• Excellent leadership, negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
