Director, FX & Derivatives

Job Purpose
Responsible for originating Treasury and Global Markets solutions for corporate clients, focusing on balance sheet, risk management, and transactional needs. The role is client-facing and revenue-driven, with accountability for developing client relationships, originating deals, and coordinating solution delivery in line with the Bank’s governance and risk standards.

Key Result Areas
•    Originate treasury and markets-related business from corporate clients.
•    Drive revenues across FX, rates, deposits, and approved structured solutions.
•    Identify client balance sheet, liquidity, and risk management requirements.
•    Coordinate with Structuring, Trading, and Product teams to deliver client solutions.
•    Maintain strong senior-level relationships with corporate clients and coverage teams.
•    Ensure all transactions comply with suitability, credit, and risk frameworks.
•    Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and management reporting.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

•    10+ years of experience in Corporate Banking Sales or Treasury Origination.
•    Strong understanding of corporate treasury and markets products.
•    Proven track record in client origination and revenue generation.
•    Strong commercial judgment and communication skills.
 

• Lead and manage a team of professionals in the FX & Derivatives division.
• Develop and execute strategies to enhance the bank's market share and revenue in corporate treasury and markets products.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on client origination and relationship management.
• Stay updated with market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to ensure the bank's products remain competitive.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services to corporate clients.
• Provide expert advice and solutions to clients, leveraging your extensive knowledge of corporate treasury and markets.
• Monitor and analyze market data, identifying potential risks and opportunities for the bank.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate banking sales or treasury origination, with a proven track record of success.
• Deep understanding of corporate treasury and markets products, including FX, derivatives, and other financial instruments.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of the UAE corporate landscape, including industry trends and key players.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex market data.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Relevant qualifications in finance, economics, or a related field are preferred.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in Arabic being an advantage.
