Director, Sales

Responsibilities

Individuals in this position manage sales directly to end users of the organization's products or services in a large specified geographic area or is responsible for a specific industry or product segment on a national or geographic basis. The Director shall work to identify and qualify net new sales opportunities and execute an intelligent pursuit plan to sell Octave's solutions while maintaining successful relationships with internal support organizations. A solution background of sale is expected as they position digital transformation problem-solving in complex enterprise accounts. Leads teams of sales representatives that are responsible for selling solutions into segments or geographies.

Teams perform the following tasks under the guidance of a senior team member:

• Interfacing with clients, handling communications, giving proposals, and assisting in producing them, scheduling meetings and activities like demos, and independently handling transactional sales.


• Prospects in white space areas for existing accounts.


• Able to discuss product capabilities and explain the business value of solutions.


• Represents the company with integrity and professionalism, acting as an agent of the company.


• Develops a rapport with customers for the long term.


• Diligently uses the corporate sales CRM system.


• Responsible for coaching employees, positively impacting their performance.


• Attracts, acquires, and develops talent.


• Develops strategic plans.


• Knows how to motivate sales teams.


• Is target driven and vigilant.


• Capable of meeting assigned quotas.


• Typically manages other sales managers.


• Hold the necessary skills to represent the company in customers meetings and events, focused on senior executives, facilitating the connection of the existing network and the regional leaders.


• Develop and maintain a solid understanding of our products and services offerings to support the guidance over the local team and the recommendations to the regional leaders.


• Develop a high-level knowledge over the internal systems used locally.


• Sustain a solid current network in the territory to reference potential candidates to the regional leaders and HR.
