Discretionary Trader Family Office

Overview Our client, a Dubai-based single-family office, is seeking to appoint a Discretionary Trader to build and manage a proprietary investment book across equities and fixed income , with additional exposure to digital assets .

The role blends fundamental bottom-up valuation and top-down momentum trading , integrating systematic insights and data-driven analysis to enhance performance. This is an opportunity to operate within a highly autonomous environment, working directly with the Principal.

1. Key Responsibilities Manage a discretionary trading book (~USD 200K unlevered start) within pre-agreed parameters.
2. Execute trading strategies combining fundamental analysis , momentum signals , and quantitative overlays .
3. Conduct valuation-driven research, focusing on earnings, catalysts, and market structure.
4. Apply macro and thematic perspectives to capture directional and relative value opportunities.
5. Utilize Bloomberg Terminal for analytics, market monitoring, and execution.
6. Maintain disciplined risk management, performance tracking, and reporting.
7. Provide insights and recommendations to the Principal and investment team.
8. Candidate Profile Experience: 3–6 years in trading or investment analysis (hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or family office).
9. Education: Strong academic grounding in finance, economics, engineering, or mathematics.

Skills:

1. Proficiency with Bloomberg Terminal (license provided).
2. Strong Excel, data modeling, and quantitative capability (Python/R a plus).
3. Blend of fundamental judgment and systematic thinking .

Location: Dubai-based or willing to relocate; UAE-based candidates also considered.

1. Compensation & Tools Base Salary: (depending on experience)
