Job Description - DLP Engineer (Civil)

Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading contracting company in the UAE to recruit a skilled DLP Engineer â Civil to manage post-handover civil works and defect resolution. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in civil construction, inspections, corrective works, and coordination of DLP activities, ensuring defects are resolved efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle civil defects and maintenance concerns identified during the Defects Liability Period.

- Perform site inspections, evaluate reported issues, and determine appropriate corrective actions.

- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal teams to complete rectification works.

- Monitor ongoing repairs and ensure workmanship meets approved quality and safety requirements.

- Manage civil issues related to waterproofing, finishes, structural repairs, and general building works.

- Maintain accurate defect registers, inspection records, progress updates, and closure documentation.

- Coordinate with clients, property management teams, and end users regarding reported issues and work progress.

- Inspect completed corrective works and secure the required approvals for final closure.

- Prepare periodic reports covering open, ongoing, and completed DLP items.

- Identify repeated defects and suggest preventive solutions to minimize recurrence.

Requirements

- Bachelorâs degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.

- 5â7 years of relevant experience in civil construction, DLP operations, building maintenance, or facility management.

- Good knowledge of building construction, waterproofing, finishing works, structural repairs, QA/QC procedures, and construction drawings.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Strong problem-solving, coordination, communication, planning, and documentation skills.

- Detail-oriented approach with a strong focus on quality and timely defect closure.
