Job Description - Document Controller - Tagalog Speaker


We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Document Controller to manage and maintain project documentation for major construction projects. The role involves handling contractor submittals, RFIs, and other project-related documents, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and supporting workflow processes through electronic document management systems.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Establish and maintain filing systems, schedules, and records, including correspondence, reports, and bulletins.


  • Process contractor submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs); review and log responses for compliance with contract documents.


  • Assist in the technical and administrative review of construction documents to confirm design intent and coordinate across projects.


  • Develop clear, consistent file structures and implement controls to ensure smooth communication and workflow protocols.


  • Maintain and manage electronic document management systems, including Unifier, SharePoint, and other project-related software.


  • Support approval workflows and assist in training team members on proper document control procedures.


  • Ensure all project documentation adheres to company policies, industry practices, and corporate procedures.


  • Maintain accurate logs and records of all documentation to facilitate auditing and reporting.







Requirements




  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field. 


  • Membership and/or certification in EMC (Enterprise Content Management) and/or ARMA (American Records Management Association) is preferred.


  • Minimum 1 year of document control experience on construction or infrastructure projects.


  • Strong knowledge of document control work processes, electronic systems, and database concepts.


  • Ability to work in a lead capacity, providing guidance and training to others.


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.


  • Familiarity with Unifier, SharePoint, MS Office, and other project-related software; Unifier experience preferred.


  • Knowledge of approval workflows and the ability to ensure timely document routing.


  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to implement consistent document management protocols.


  • Willing to work in Dubai.
