Job Description - Driver cumm Helper

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Driver cum Helper to support our manufacturing operations with efficient and timely delivery services. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless movement of raw materials, finished goods, and equipment across our production facilities and customer locations. The ideal candidate will combine hands -on driving expertise with strong logistical support skills, ensuring safety, punctuality, and operational accuracy at every stage. As a Driver cum Helper, you will play a vital role in maintaining supply chain continuity, supporting warehouse operations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our manufacturing workflow. This position offers a valuable opportunity for career growth within a dynamic and fast -paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate delivery trucks and transport materials, components, and finished products to designated locations.
Perform pre -trip and post -trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling, stacking, and securing of cargo to prevent damage.
Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to verify delivery schedules, documentation, and inventory accuracy.
Conduct on -site assessments of delivery conditions, including site access, storage readiness, and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, routes, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
Adhere to all local traffic laws, company safety policies, and industry regulations at all times.
Provide timely feedback on delivery challenges and contribute to process improvements in logistics and distribution.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and experience in commercial truck operation.
Formal driver training certification or equivalent experience in heavy vehicle operation.
1–3 years of proven experience as a truck driver or delivery assistant in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial setting.
Strong understanding of delivery procedures, route planning, and time management.
Ability to assess delivery conditions, site access, and loading requirements independently.
Physical fitness to lift and move heavy items (up to 25 kg) and work in varying weather and warehouse conditions.
Proficient in basic documentation, reporting, and communication tools.
Familiarity with safety protocols, load securing techniques, and vehicle maintenance basics.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and overtime as required.
