DiversifiedCompanies is looking to hire a Commercial Fleet Mechanic for ourcompany wide fleet.

TheFleet Mechanic will be responsible for routine, as well asemergency, maintenance on the company vehicles to keep them runningin a safe and efficient manner. The vehicles would range frompassenger vehicles to box trucks. The ideal candidate would need tobe able to keep track of paperwork and scheduling of truckmaintenance. We have 2 openings available for this position. Workhours for 1^st shiftare 10AM 6PM, work hours for 3^rdshift are 4AM 12PM. The candidates would float betweenour Mosinee, WI location and Wausau, WI location.

ESSENTIALDUTIES:

• Conductsrepairs and preventative maintenance on all vehicles andequipment
  
• Maintainsa safe work environment for all employees. Follows and enforcesabove standard safetypractices
  
• Inspectstrucks and equipment for conformance with operationalstandards
  
• Diagnosesmechanicalproblems
  
• Keepsequipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles;completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oilchanges, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacingfilters
  
• Maintainsvehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints;conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairingmechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts andcomponents; repairing bodydamage.
  
• Verifiesvehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjustingcontrols andsystems
  
• Complieswith state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, andcombustion controlstandards
  
• Maintainsvehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, andpainting
  
• Maintainsvehicle records by recording service and repairs, oil changes, andDOTs
  
• Keepingan updated list of all vehiclemaintenance
  
• Schedulethe trucks to come in to the shop for any repairs orservices
  
• Keepsshop equipment operating by following operating instructions;troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performingpreventive maintenance; calling forrepairs
  
• Containscosts by using warranty; evaluating service and partsoptions
  
• Keepssupplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifyingreceipt
  
• Updatesjob knowledge by participating in educational opportunities;reading technicalpublications
  
• Accomplishesmaintenance and organization mission by completing related resultsasneeded

Requirements

• Electricaltroubleshooting of systems, motors, controllers, andpneumatics
  
• Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, and proceduremanuals
  
• Abilityto write routine breakdown, preventive maintenance, and othermaintenance-related reports andcorrespondence
  
• Readand interpret electricalschematics
  
• Abilityto effectively communicate and carry outinstructions
  
• Knowledgeof electrical/mechanical safetypractices
  
• Abilityto maintain and handle multiple functions/tasks relating to theday-to-dayoperations
