Duty Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure that quality and safe patient care is delivered by co-ordinating and facilitating the management of clinical and non-clinical resources as well as support services in the facility

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

1. Provide managerial and leadership guidance to all multidisciplinary team members to ensure quality and safe patient care during shift


2. To activate, co-ordinate and manage all clinical or non-clinical emergencies


3. To provide effective and efficient operational guidance and support in the absence of Unit Manager or Head of Department


4. To achieve the clinical quality according to set policies and procedures


5. To ensure positive patient experiences by developing employees and creating an environment that contributes to team engagement

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Essential: Bachelor of Nursing from a recognised Nursing Institute

Desired: Master of Science in Nursing or related Healthcare field

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Essential: At least 3-5 years’ senior nursing experience, preferably in a private hospital

Experience as Duty Manager/Shift In Charge/Nursing Supervisor in a hospital setting within an acute care Hospital setting
