Responsibilities

• Conduct rapid assessments and evaluations for patients in emergency situations
• Administer life-saving treatments and interventions as necessary
• Collaborate closely with nursing staff and other medical professionals
• Utilize diagnostic tools and resources to guide patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental activities
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health issues and treatments

Essential Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Emergency Medicine
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Experience in an emergency department setting is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in high-pressure environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• A commitment to lifelong learning and staying updated on advancements in emergency medicine
