This is a Full-Time position for an Estimator Labels. It will be a hybrid role supporting primary our facility in Newport (UK) but will include support for additional locations. 

Your Role:

• You are responsible for estimation and cost jobs in house where required by using the software system in place and also taking into account standard estimating rules as applicable

• You estimate for small, medium and large opportunities for a product group manufactured in the UK/EU area

• You ensure all costs and parameters within area estimating models are kept updated in line with local regulations

• You develop and maintain the pricing database with both spot pricing and matrix calculators across the customer base

• You ensure all pricing is updated in a timely manner and provided to the relevant Customer Service or Commercial team in line with guidelines

• You also develop samples, support with product development, layouts and designs for customer ranges in conjunction with the Sales and Origination departments

• You provide the origination, production and materials departments with information as required to allow for efficient planning

• You also create GM improvement opportunities within Existing customer base by Suggesting more efficient order pattern management or other optimization opportunities

• You monitor & ensure new business awarded to the company is performing to financial expectations

• You will have the opportunity to interact directly with stakeholders and suppliers on pricing and project development

• You learn to understand machine rates and material movements to maintain costs in the pricing model

Your Profile:

• You already gained direct experience in manufacturing costing in Cartons, Labels, Leaflets as this would be an advantage but is not essential

• You have worked previously within the Packaging and Print industry

• You have proficient PC skills including Microsoft Excel and Word

• You also have excellent organisational and analytical skills including a highly numerate preference

• You have excellent communication & presentation skills, both written and spoken

• You drive forward to achieve results

• You are willing to travel
