Job Description - Export Manager

Job Purpose

The Export Manager will be responsible for developing and achieving company sales outside the UAE with a particular focus on the GCC markets and any other attractive geography. Establishing partnerships with strategic partners externally and internally with other departments to achieve the objectives and sales targets related to Export.

Responsibility and Duties

  • Identify profitable business opportunities to extend Mai Dubai brand's distribution outside the UAE.
  • Manage and monitor in-market 4Ps for all distributors and ensure that sales are only made in the nominated territory. Forecasting the potential generated sales along with reporting all market analysis to the line manager.
  • Managing existing Distributors by achieving sales targets and achieving the overall budget for export. Sales process administration and follow up on actions with distributor to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Managing the sales administration process from A-Z, which starts from identifying the market, understanding the market requirements, coordinate internally with the different departments to confirm the ability to respond to such requirement, pricing, agree/negotiate and finalize the contract, agree on all the details in relation to the export and customs declaration.
  • Responsible for taking orders from distributors, generating invoices, arranging required documents for shipments, ensuring the timely loading of stock and confirming the receipt of the shipments with respective distributors.
  • Contribute to the training and development of the distributor sales force ensuring that the field sales team is equipped with the skills needed to achieve the agreed objectives.
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships with all existed and potential distributors and traders.
  • Achieve Budgeted Export Sales and Receivables
  • Perform competitors research and assess performance versus peers to identify opportunities and areas for improvements
  • Develop and submit teams' monthly route-wise targets
  • Manage market outstanding within agreed DSO. Ensure collection as per customer credit terms.
  • Manage Sales Team with regards to objectives, KPI monitoring and Business Development support.
  • Management, recruitment and development of the sales team for the assigned Sub-Channels.
  • Responsible for obtaining & reporting competitive market intelligence (MIS).

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 8 years' functional experience, out of which 5 years should be in an equivalent Middle Management position.
  • 5 years' experience in FMCG
  • 3 years' experience in Exports within GCC
