Facade Designer

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Drafting:

• Prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and as-built drawings for façade systems including curtain walls, aluminium cladding, windows, doors, skylights, etc.
  




• Create 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD and other design software as required
  




• Develop technical drawings based on architectural plans, structural drawings, and project specifications
  

Technical Coordination:

• Coordinate with the production, procurement, site, and estimation teams to ensure smooth transition from design to execution
  




• Review architectural and structural drawings to extract necessary information for façade design
  




• Incorporate consultant/client comments and revise designs accordingly
  

Material & System Knowledge:

• Apply knowledge of different façade systems such as stick, unitized, structural glazing, ACP cladding, spider glazing, etc.
  




• Assist in selecting appropriate materials and systems based on performance, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness
  

Documentation & Compliance:

• Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards, safety codes, and project-specific requirements
  




• Prepare technical submittals and coordinate for design approvals from consultants
  




• Maintain version control and documentation for all design outputs
  

Problem Solving & Support:

• Provide design-related support to the site team during installation and mock-up reviews
  




• Identify and resolve potential design conflicts or challenges during the pre-construction phase
