Job Description - Family Medicine


The Consultant Family Medicine will be working for Aspen Medical, based in the Abu Dhabi. He/She may be assigned to any of the Aspen Medical Primary Care Health Centers.



  • The Family Medicine physician is responsible to assess, diagnose and provide competent, patient- centered and preventative treatment services and care plan that addresses medical health needs and promotes wellness.  Such care is based on latest evidence and guidelines and meets regulatory requirements.

  • The Family Medicine physician performs procedures according to his/her specialty and/or scope   of services.

  • The Family Medicine physician is responsible to strictly comply with all statutory and regulatory requirements of the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi. He/She must implement the standards, guidelines, rules and regulations as per the local and international healthcare agencies in direct coordination with the Medical Director.






Requirements

1. Qualifications & Experience



  • MBBS or MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution and completion of specialty qualification

  • ​Experience as below:

Tier 2




Two (2) years’

experience post qualification*




Five (5) years’

experience post qualification











  • Holding a current or eligible to hold a DOH-AD License in Family Medicine.

  • Additional related certifications/licenses

2. Knowledge, Skills and Competencies (Evidenced by interview & references)



  • Demonstrated experience in ensuring patient care and safety in Medical/Cardiovascular Setting.

  • Proven track record in complying with the DOH regulations.

  • Highly developed written and verbal communication, inter-personal and negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of Medical management teams.

  • Proven track record in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • BLS, PALS and/or ACLS certified

3. Personal Attributes (Evidenced by interview & references)



  • Essential

            -Flexibility in working patterns to meet the needs of the service as when required.

            -Promotes a positive work environment.

            -Ability to embrace change and demonstrate flexibility.

            -Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

            -Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.

            -Fluent English speaker.



  • Desirable

            -Experience working in a multi-cultural environment/UAE.



                 -Arabic language skills.
