Field Technician

Field Technician – Fiber / GPON

Location: Dubai, UAE

Salary: AED 3,000 per month

Nationality: Indian & Filipino candidates only

Job Responsibilities

- Install, configure, test, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic and telecom equipment.

- Perform fiber optic installation, termination, splicing, testing, and fault rectification.

- Handle FTTH/FTTx installations and maintenance activities.

- Work on GPON networks and related equipment.

- Conduct site visits and resolve technical issues at customer locations.

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.

- Identify and troubleshoot fiber/network faults efficiently.

- Prepare daily work reports and update the status of assigned tasks.

- Follow company procedures, technical standards, and HSE requirements.

- Coordinate with supervisors and team members to complete assigned jobs on time.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Fiber Technician / Telecom Field Technician or similar role.

- Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.

- Good knowledge of Fiber Optics and GPON technology.

- Hands-on knowledge of FTTH/FTTx networks.

- Knowledge of fiber splicing, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with fiber testing equipment such as OTDR and Power Meter.

- Basic knowledge of ODF, ONU/ONT, OLT, patch panels, and fiber distribution systems.

- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in the field and travel to different sites in Dubai.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors and at different sites.

- Only Indian and Filipino candidates will be considered.
