Finance Assistant

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and apply basic accounting principles relating to accounts payable.
  


• Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  


• Ensure accounts payable invoices are accurate, properly coded, and authorized for payment.
  


• Maintain the completeness and accuracy of all accounts payable databases and files, including monthly, periodic, and annual reconciliations of control accounts.
  


• Ensure accurate processing of accounts in compliance with company policies and procedures, including the correct application of taxes.
  


• Liaise with internal departments, customers, and vendors regarding finance-related matters.
  


• File, organize, and maintain financial records and documentation.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  


• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in general accounting or a similar finance role.
  


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  


• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  


• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
