Accountabilities, goals, and outcomes:

Lead on the strategic financial planning process by partnering with all areas of the business to create and implement a financially viable long-term strategy
Optimize profit and revenue by identifying and leading on operational and commercial improvement initiatives, including pricing and cost saving projects, amongst others
Instill a culture of performance management taking into account financial and non-financial results that helps the company reach its goals sooner, with less effort, and with a higher return

What you’ll do:

Build actionable, relevant strategic financial forecasts that drive impact
Drive the company’s pricing strategy and initiatives
Lead on key performance management and measurement processes throughout the organization, shaping the approach for cultural fit and value
Use technology to power the majority of the company’s finance activities, including annual planning and budgeting, revenue and cash flow forecasting, and scenario management
Work with data constantly to uncover valuable insights, inform the strategy and initiatives, and run tests and optimizations
Create value by playing the role of thought partner to the CEO and senior management team
Paint a clear picture of our business performance and translate the financial data into meaningful commentary, trends, and actions
Develop a deep understanding of the company’s business model and industry and use this knowledge to independently and constructively challenge the commercial and operations teams, ensuring that business decisions are grounded in solid financial criteria
Proactively identify opportunities for top-line growth and drive profit improvement, not just through the traditional methods of cost control, but through examples such as product line/regional profitability analysis
Build and lead a high-performing and lean finance and accounting team by providing clear direction, setting goals, and empowering team members to achieve individual and collective objectives

What we’re looking for:

Excellent strategic financial planning and modeling
Strong experience in running a comprehensive cross-functional budgeting and forecasting process
Excellent experience in formulating and implementing effective pricing strategies and cost saving initiatives
A demonstrated track record of instilling a culture of performance management across the organization
Strong experience in putting in place an effective capital allocation framework to effectively deliver on growth objectives
Proven skill in building and leading high-performing finance teams, setting goals, encouraging collaboration, and empowering team members to achieve objectives
Proficient in leveraging financial technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency
Strong communication, story telling, and influencing skills
CPA, chartered accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent qualification preferred
Minimum 8-10 years of progressive responsibility in finance and strategic planning roles, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally within an e-commerce, food, and/or consumer brand business
