Job Description - Flavorist

We are looking for a Junior Flavorist with experience in food & beverage flavour development. We are seeking a knowledgeable, determined, and creative individual eager to drive growth and build winning flavours.Reporting to the Flavorist, the candidate will work in partnership with the existing R&D team on:

Flavour Creation:

Work on targeted internal developments to expand our portfolio and create a product-market fit
Modify existing flavours to fit different markets, price points, applications, regulations, etc.
Develop winning flavours based on market products using innovative technologies and data analysis
Become part of our customer success team: participate in innovation days, join customer visits with Flavorist, working towards eventually work on specific customer briefs

Internal R&D Processes:

Participate in internal sensory panels for flavours and raw materials
Cooperate with cross-department teams to build our sensory assessment platform
Support in the evaluation of raw materials to keep building our internal library
Evaluate analytical data for flavour development

University degree in Food Chemistry / Science, Chemistry or Biochemistry .
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a junior flavorist in the food & beverage industry or other related industries. Experience as a beverage flavorist working with emulsions or compounds, a plus.
Strong sensory skills, expert level tasting skills
Trained and knowledgeable on relevant natural and synthetic raw materials
Basic understanding of the different food and beverage applications
Knowledge and understanding of local and regional regulations
High level of creativity and initiative
Sense of responsibility, reliability and organization
Ability to assess data for flavour creation from Chromatography (e.g. GC-MS) and other analytical tools, a plus
Fluency in English is necessary, any other languages an asset
