Electrical Draftsman

An Electrical Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed electrical drawings, layouts, and technical documentation for construction, industrial, and engineering projects. They work closely with electrical engineers, project managers, and design teams to develop accurate plans that comply with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and revise electrical drawings, schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring layouts using CAD software such as AutoCAD.
  
• Prepare detailed plans for power distribution, lighting systems, control systems, and electrical installations.
  
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure design accuracy and project compatibility.
  
• Review project specifications, technical documents, and design requirements.
  
• Maintain drawing records, revisions, and documentation according to company standards.
  
• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  
• Assist in site surveys and incorporate field data into design drawings when required.
  
• Support project teams during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
  
• Knowledge of electrical systems, symbols, codes, and standards.
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
